Ol' Donyo Lodge is primarily accessed by scheduled air transfers or private air charters. On arrival at the airfield, the vehicle transfer to the lodge is approximately 30 minutes, allowing time for game viewing. Scheduled daily flights from Nairobi’s domestic Wilson Airport to ol Donyo Lodge.
Flying time in a Cessna Caravan from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to ol Donyo Lodge airfield is about an hour.
Leaving early in the morning or late afternoon in a 4x4 open vehicle and explore the exciting wilderness, undisturbed. These times will be most ideal, as many wildlife species are active during these periods. Allow the world revolve around you, as you roam endlessly in the vehicle to seek exciting wildlife discoveries.
Led by a knowledgeable naturalist guide, enter the safari wilderness and learn about the local wildlife species and the safari environment. Take this chance to discover many breathtaking sights and be ready to capture every moment with your camera devices.
Come and meet our gentle and friendly horses within the reserve and take them for a exciting horse riding adventure. The adventure will be guided with our experienced staff to ensure your safety and you will be taught how to ride these horses. The activity is available for everyone from beginners to experts.
Community out-reach programs
For those who would like something more relaxing and less adventurous, they can consider the community out-reach programs. Guests will visit the local communities and learn about their lifestyle living in the wilderness. It is up to the guests if they are willingly to contribute to the community developments.
Throughout the reserve, animals are to be seen everywhere due to the abundance of water source near the lodge. Hence you are able to sight for exotic species from the platforms of the lodge. The lodge is also located on top of the hill which allows guests to see further in the far distance. Alternatively, guests can also head downwards to the bottom of the hill where they can observe wildlife more closely.

The ol Donyo Lodge consists some of the comfortable and relaxing atmospheric vibes to compliment its natural surroundings. Constructed efficiently with natural raw materials, combined with the most fitting wooden interiors to provide the best luxury safari experience. Natural lights beaming into the lodge and many open areas within the lodge, connecting with the safari even closer. Many animal species can be sighted from the lodge as there is an abundance of food source and water in this region. Additional facilities are commonly shared throughout the premise such as lounge, dinning area, and outdoors. This is a great opportunity to meet some new friends and talk about your exciting safari experiences.
