Exploring Svalbard Cruise (2025)
Embrace the wilderness of the Arctic Circle on a voyage around Norway’s Svalbard archipelago. The remote islands of Spitsbergen, Nordaustlandet and Edgeøya reveal their secrets as you explore rugged landscapes where wildflowers blossom under the midnight sun. Watch out for polar bears prowling the icy wilderness as beluga whales swim nearby, and black-legged kittiwakes swooping overhead as you sail through icy fjords, and past towering glaciers.

Day 1: Arrive in Copenhagen
Upon arrival in Copenhagen Airport, you will be met by the cruise representative and driven on the group transfer to your hotel (SKT Petri Hotel Copenhagen or similar).



Day 2: Fly Copenhagen to Longyearbyen & board your cruise
This morning you will take the group transfer from your hotel in Copenhagen to the airport and board the charter flight to Longyearbyen. Upon arrival, you will take the group transfer to the port and board your cruise.

The world's most northerly town, Longyearbyen, on Spitsbergen, Svalbard's largest island, also claims the most northerly high street and pub. It's home to The North Pole Expeditions Museum chronicling early pole-reaching efforts by air. Nearby, Svalbard Global Seed Vault preserves duplicate seeds from gene banks worldwide. Arctic waters around are populated by whales, including bowheads and narwhals, while walruses are regularly seen hauling out.

Day 3 to 8: Cruise Svalbard
Svalbard is the kingdom of the polar bears, deep in the Arctic Circle, featuring varied polar landscapes and gargantuan glaciers. Beyond magnificent fjords in the north, the remaining sea ice serves as prime hunting grounds for polar bears. Closer to Longyearbyen, tundra and beaches replace snow and ice. Alongside 600 polar bears, this Arctic hotspot is home to walrus, Svalbard reindeer, ringed seals and arctic fox

Day 9: Disembark & Fly Longyearbyen to Copenhagen
This morning you will disembark and take the group transfer from the port to Longyearbyen Airport for your charter flight to Copenhagen.

On arrival at the airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

At the scheduled time you will be met at your hotel by our representative and transferred to the airport.

Arrive in Oslo
Once you have arrived in Oslo, you will make your own way to your hotel. If you don’t mind travelling by train, the airport train is a cheap and convenient option that takes you to the city centre. If trains are not your preferred method of travel, taxis are also available.

The afternoon is spent at your leisure to explore this beautiful city.

Norway in a Nutshell: Oslo - Flam - Bergen
Depart by train (approx. 08:25) on the Bergen Line from Oslo to Myrdal where you change trains to the famous Flåm Railway, one of the world's most popular train journeys. Here you travel down through the mountains and to the bottom of the valley, where the last stop is in the picturesque village of Flåm. Enjoy some free time here before boarding the ferry for a stunning fjord cruise on the Naeroy Fjord between Flåm and Gudvangen. On arrival to Gudvangen, a local bus will take guests (regular coach) towards Voss passing waterfalls and some superb views of the valley. You will then travel the last leg to Bergen, arriving in the evening and making your own way to your hotel.
