Day 1: Arrival

Welcome to Lapland! You will be greeted at the airport with a hotel sign and transferred to Wilderness Hotel Muotka (approx. 45 min). Upon arrival, you will receive your program schedule before dinner. Depending on your arrival time, cold weather gear will be given to you either upon arrival or the next day.

Day 2-3: Activities

Family Husky Safari - 2hrs
This adventure will take you through stunning lakes and forests. Before we set off, you'll learn how to handle the sled. Feel the excitement of the huskies as they get ready, and then enjoy the serene silence as they pull your sled through the beautiful winter scenery. Each sled is set up for two guests, with one mushing and the other seated in the sleigh. Halfway through the journey, you'll switch positions so both of you get to experience the thrill of mushing. (sleigh drive: 30-45 minutes)

Meet the reindeer - 2hrs
Ever wondered what it's like to be a reindeer herder? Join us for a fun and informative tour where you'll get to meet these amazing animals up close. Our friendly guide will share stories about the Sámi culture and the important role reindeer play in the North. You'll even get a chance to feed them, they might come right up and eat out of your hand! Join us for this unique way to learn more about Northern Lapland culture.

Snowmobile safari - 2hrs
First, you'll get familiar with the snowmobile with our guide, who will provide full safety instructions and a driving lesson. Once everyone feels comfortable with the machine, we'll head out for an exciting trip through the nearby surroundings. It's a thrilling way to explore the Arctic landscape and enjoy the winter wonderland. Children under 15 years will sit in a sleigh pulled by the guide's snowmobile.

Aurora Camp - 2,5hrs
We'll start with a cozy sleigh ride pulled by our guide's snowmobile, taking you through the stunning Arctic landscapes to our favorite spot for viewing the Northern Lights. Once we arrive at the campsite, you'll get to enjoy hot drinks and great company while you gaze at the northern sky. Because there won’t be any light pollution, our camp spots are one of the best places to catch the Auroras!

Meet Santa - 20-40min
What an exciting journey we have ahead! After a snowmobile sleigh ride to Santa's Secret place, you will have the chance to meet him and have a nice talk together! He will give small presents to everyone. To make the experience even more special, we suggest families bring letters written to Santa (confidentially hand them to our reception at least one day before!). This way, Santa can read the letters in advance, adding a personal touch to the magical moment with the children.

Day 4: Departure

After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Ivalo Airport. It’s time to say goodbye to Wilderness Hotel Muotka and head towards new adventures. We hope you had the best holiday with us in Lapland and wish to see you again!

Price Assurance

At Eclipse Travel, our expert destination knowledge and decades of travel planning experience come at no extra cost to you. While many think booking through a tour operator is more expensive than planning a trip independently, that’s not the case. We’re paid by our travel partners—such as hotels, activity operators, and cruise providers—via commissions, not by our clients.

Our team negotiates the best rates for you and ensures you receive unbiased advice, with no preference for any particular supplier. In fact, where we secure higher commissions, we often pass the savings on to you, giving us a competitive price edge.

Additionally, we lock in exchange rates at the time of your deposit, ensuring no surprise costs when it’s time for final payment. You can rest easy knowing we’ll handle the details with our suppliers. The only exceptions are national park fee increases or fuel surcharges imposed after your booking, though these are rare.

Take advantage of our team’s expertise and let us help you plan the perfect holiday—hassle-free!

Viking history, Inuit villages and an abundance of wildlife are just some of the wonders you’ll discover in the Arctic. You’ll be amazed by the natural beauty that surrounds you. Search for Polar Bears while cruising through breathtaking fjords or around the nature lovers dream, Spitsbergen.
