3 Day Aldea Santillana - Solar Eclipse Program
We have chosen a location that is an experience in itself: a 19th-century palace complex in Manjirón, steeped in history and unrivaled charm, set in the privileged natural surroundings of Madrid’s Sierra Norte.

But most importantly, its astronomical position: The 2026 eclipse is no ordinary eclipse. It will be a sunset totality. The Sun will vanish into the horizon in a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle. We needed a venue worthy of the occasion.

This location lies within the path of totality, offering 80 seconds of total darkness. It is located less than 45 minutes from Madrid city center, with easy access via the A1 highway. It also features on-site parking and other amenities.

Aldea Santillana to Segovia & Walking Tour

A walking tour of Segovia that hits the city’s highlights: begin at the monumental Roman Aqueduct in Plaza del Azoguejo, climb Calle Real to the lively Plaza Mayor and glimpse the Gothic Cathedral, thread the narrow lanes of the Jewish Quarter to see Casa de los Picos, ascend for exterior views of the fairytale Alcázar from the Mirador, then descend for
a short riverside stroll by the Paseo del Eresma and an outside view of San Esteban.

Segovia to Madrid via Avila & Walking Tour

Start at Puerta del Alcázar (walls photos), walk a short stretch of the Muralla, head to Plaza Mercado Chico to view the Cathedral, pass the Convent of Santa Teresa and Basilica de San Vicente (exterior stops), wander Calle Carnicerías/Calle de los Caballeros, and finish at the Mirador de los Cuatro Postes.
