Unique Patagonia: Chalten and Calafate Escape

You will be met on arrival at the airport and transferred by private vehicle to El Chalten.

El Chalten - Free Day
Today is at your leisure to enjoy one of the many short self guided treks or to just relax and take in the views.

From El Chalten there are some short walks like Chorrillo del Salto waterfall (1 hour) or Cascada Margarita (2 hours) and Los Cóndores and Las Águilas viewpoints (2 hours). Then there are 2 harder options which are the most popular but both are ‘up and back’ so if tired you can always turn back. Details of these 2 treks as follows;

Laguna Torre
One of the classic treks of El Chaltén that will take you to the Torre lagoon, at the foot of the amazing Adela range, Torre and Grande glaciers and the incredible Cerro Torre.

Distance: 18 km round trip
Total approximate time: 6-9 hours (return).
Difficulty: moderate – really not a hard walk, just quite long

Laguna De los Tres / Cerro Fitzroy
This is the most sought trek and viewpoint, with spectacular sights of the Fitz Roy massif. This natural viewpoint is undoubtedly the most famous of all walks closer to the imposing walls of Fitz Roy mount and its surrounding granite peaks.

Distance: 22 km round trip
Total approximate time: 7-10 hours (return).
Difficulty: medium. Particularly hard for the final part

Each of the four Ovo Patagonia capsules has 360 panoramic views. They have three floors: a bed on the upper level, a minimalist lounge in the middle, with a dry toilet and, at the bottom level, a netting that has the ultimate height experience.

OVO Night Experience - Day 1
Your OVO Patagonia journey starts in El Chaltén with a transfer to the base. An afternoon hike through native forests leads to an exciting Via Ferrata climb, your path to the suspended OVO capsules, 270 meters high. As evening arrives, settle into your capsule and savor a gourmet dinner while soaking in breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Fitz Roy and the surrounding landscape.

OVO Night Experience - Day 2
Wake to an unforgettable sunrise over the Andes. Enjoy breakfast in your capsule, surrounded by stunning scenery. Afterwards, you'll be transferred back to El Chaltén, concluding your unique overnight experience.

Today you will be transferred from your hotel in El Chalten to El Calafate.

Eolo Patagonia's Spirit
Patagonia, as EOLO, offers outdoor options that are in line with each guest's interests, physical condition and available time. Our options even take into account the climate oscillations of our always temperamental Patagonia.

Arrival Day
You will board the Eolo Shuttle Transfer from El Calafate Centre to Eolo Patagonia. Depending on time of arrival, a short duration activity may be carried out in the afternoon. Recommended excursion: trekking or horseback riding in EOLO grounds.

Activities
To help guests make the choice that is right for them, we divide the itineraries per area. Our recommendation is for guests to choose one activity per area, per day. Keep in mind that the activities that take place outside our property do have an additional cost and payable at the hotel. We suggest guests reserve at least one day for touring EOLO and its surroundings. There are many activities that are exclusively available to our guests. The hotel has its own guide who coordinates all of the outdoor experiences: trekking, mountain bike, bird watching, four wheel drive outings, canopy and horseback riding tours.

Departure Day
Transfer from EOLO to airport or any other location within the city. Depending on departure time, a short duration activity in the morning. Suggested activity: EOLO trekking, bike or horseback ride.
