This exciting, activity-packed 12 day safari will allow you to discover the diversity and beauty that Botswana and Namibia have to offer. You will begin in Victoria Falls heading west to the Caprivi Strip, home to game including elephant, kudu and antelope before travelling in to the Okavango Delta which is sure to be one of the highlights of your safari. Stay in Khwai, Nata, Chobe and Victoria Falls round off the rest of your safari, all of which are sure to provide memorable experiences for yourself and your fellow travellers!
Duration: 12 Days
Your 12-day safari adventure begins today in Victoria Falls at 7.30am when you attending a full safari briefing by your experienced guide. Following this we will pack up and head west, crossing the Namibia border from Botswana. Head to the Caprivi Strip of Namibia to your accommodation which has a lovely vista over the Kwando River, a tributary of the Chobe River, which forms the border between Botswana and Namibia.

Stomachs full from an early breakfast, a game drive in the nearby Mudumu Game Reserve offers the prospect of seeing large game. Elephant, Kudu and other antelope are commonly seen in this area. Return to the lodge in the late morning for lunch and a short rest before an afternoon boat cruise on the Kwando River. Upon returning to the lodge once again, feel free to enjoy a drink before a hearty dinner, then leisurely head off to bed lulled by the sounds of the African bush.

You will have another early start this morning as your safari continues east along the Caprivi Strip until you reach Popa Falls located on the Okavango River. Stretch your legs and take a short walk through the bush to get a closer look at the rapids, the last of the great Okavango River before it enters the Delta.
From Popa Falls we will continue on to Botswana, entering Mahango Game Reserve just before the border. Situated on the flood plains of the Okavango River, Mahango Game Reserve is well-known for its sightings of Red Lechwe, Sable and Roan Antelope. Leaving this scenic reserve behind we will make a short stop at the border crossing back in to Botswana before heading south to our accommodation for the next 2 nights.

Heading out early this morning you will have the opportunity to enjoy a motorboat cruise through the papyrus-lined channels of the Delta to the mokoro station where your day of exploration in the heart of the Okavango Delta begins. Mokoros are the traditional dugout canoes which have been used by the Bayeyi River Bushmen for centuries to navigate the intricate pathways of this unique area. This full day excursion allows the opportunity to encounter a large number of bird species and view landscapes that many people can only dream of.

Today's journey will see you travel south to Maun, arriving around noon. Spend the remainder of the day exploring the town, doing a spot of shopping for curios, safari drinks and necessities before lunch.
This afternoon you will have the option of taking a scenic flight over the Delta*. This magical experience provides another perspective of the Okavango Delta's distinctive water system. During the flight you may even see some large game animals such as elephant, giraffe and hippopotamus.
*Scenic flight is not included. If you wish to do this, additional costs will apply.

From Maun the drive meanders through to the Khwai River area, on the border of the Moremi Game Reserve, one of the best wilderness areas of Botswana with very high concentrations of game. The next two days will be spent searching for the wide variety of wildlife and birds that this area is renowned for while absorbing the sounds and beauty of this region. Enjoy game drives in the early morning as the sun rises and in the late afternoon as the sun sets

Today you will head out on game drives to explore the region surrounding the Khwai River. This area houses an abundance of wildlife and birdlife including elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, serval, cheetah and wild dog. The waters of the river are also frequented by hippos, easily spotted during the day and distinctively heard at night.

Rise early this morning as we make our way back to Maun and then on to Nata, located on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans. You will notice the landscape change from green swamplands to vast saltpans. Make a stop for lunch along the way then arrive to Nata in the late afternoon.

An eventful start to the day begins with a visit to Nata Bird Sanctuary where, depending on the time of year, it is possible to see large flocks of flamingos and pelicans feeding and nesting on the pans. The safari then heads north to Kasane, a town located on the edge of Chobe National Game Reserve where you will spend the next 2 nights to explore the northern reaches of the park. Feel free to explore the town, a well-known tourism hub of Northern Botswana.

Today will be spend in Northern Chobe, a park which is incredibly rich in game due to the Chobe River providing water all year round. Large herds of elephant are frequently seen walking to and from the river and due to the high density of herbivores in this area, many predators such as lions and leopards can also be sighted.

Your second-last day of safari will take you from Kasane to Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwe side where you will spend your final night. This afternoon you will come face-to-face with the thunderous Victoria Falls and shop for curios with the roar of the water reverberating nearby. At Victoria Falls there are many activities on offer in which your guide can assist in organising, such as rafting or bungee jumping for the more adventurous.
