Explore the highlights of Cape Town and the Garden Route through the history, people, cultures and wonderful food and wine that South Africa is famous for. Spend days sightseeing and enjoying various eateries, markets, restaurants and wineries and your nights in charming boutique hotels along the way.
Duration: 9 Days
Welcome to Cape Town! You will be met at the door of your aircraft with your name on a paging board and assisted through immigration, baggage collection and customs. Your driver will then transfer you to your hotel where you will spend the next 3 nights. Rest of your day is at leisure.
This tour explores Cape Town from all sides. It aims to climb under the skin of the city so that by the end of the day you understand the pulse of the city. You get to explore the history, the people, their cultures, their cuisines, as well as contemporary Cape Town and its artisanal trends. Cape Town is a city that has been metamorphosing at a rapid rate over the last ten years - it feels like a butterfly that is emerging from a city that was once a run down area that was purely a business district into a city where we now live and play. Be sure to eat a very light breakfast or no breakfast and to wear comfortable shoes.
After exploring the city on foot, we then hop back into the tour vehicle and make our way to Table Mountain Cable Way Station. Here we ascend Table Mountain in order to enjoy the views of the city from all sides. (Weather dependent) Tour timing: 08h30 to 17h30 (approximately as we may have queues on the mountain)
Includes: Table mountain tickets plus all nibbles and entrances for a full day tour around the city region.
Breakfast and Lunch included.
Our tour begins at Kalk Bay, best known for its working fishing harbour and bohemian feel. Browse the arts and crafts on offer, perhaps do a bit of shopping in the quirky fashion boutiques and enjoy the antiques and collectables along the main strip.
Next, we’ll head over to Simon’s Town to for those keen to find out more about the rich history surrounding this naval town, museums and monuments providing plenty of insight. Bringing this naval town to life is an insight into the shark diving industry and stories of Just Nuisance - Great Dane, WWII mascot and only dog ever enlisted in the Royal Navy.
Before heading into the Cape Peninsula itself we search for our own rogue penguins - a splinter colony away from the crowded boardwalks over the main breeding site - on a beach known only to locals. Our tour continues with a gentle hike in the Cape Peninsula Reserve, exploring secluded beaches, and this region’s unique wildlife. The return journey weaves back to Cape Town via Noordhoek Farm Village a food artisan hub of the Peninsula and - time permitting - stopping for a sundowner at a local brewery, vineyard, beach or scenic look-out, whatever takes your fancy.
Your guide will set up a Wild Picnic in a surprise location with beautiful vistas (if the weather permits) and always away from the crowds. Local flavours and portions tailored to your liking.
Includes: Entrance fees, selection of craft beers, wines, local gins & tonic, specialist tea, coffee & hot chocolate, juices, ice tea, gourmet pantry with home baked goodies & local snacks, entrance fee, Lunch - Wild Picnic;

This is a shared social table concept where he prepares and plates a 7-course dinner in front of you. Santi introduced each course and shares the story of the inspiration behind each and the idea is to tweak them menu based on the seasonality of ingredients.
