Airport to Hotel (Shared)
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred from the airport to your hotel.

Elephant Orphanage & Giraffe Centre Visit
At approx 10h00 depart to Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage situated on the outskirts of Nairobi (approximately 45 minutes drive). The Sanctuary is run by Daphne Sheldrick and is set in the grounds of her house. Here, you will see the orphaned animals and meet the people who handle and care for these animals. It’s an interesting excursion and the team who run the orphanage are always willing to spend time answering any questions guests have to ask. Visiting times are limited to approximately one hour and are between 11h00 and 12h00 daily.

From here, proceed to the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden for lunch (set menu). The Historic Swedo House at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden and Cottages, Ltd. was the original hunting lodge/farm house which was built around 1906 to 1908. It is located approx a half mile from the Karen Blixen museum. The historic Grogan/MacMillan Manor House was moved brick by brick from downtown Nairobi to the Coffee Garden in 2008 to save it from destruction. It is the site of the original farmhouse of the property, which now is near the Karen Blixen Museum (of “Out of Africa”). The Coffee Garden sits on 5 ½ acres of land with large hundred year old trees and a beautiful garden with hundreds of different varieties of blooming flowers, and a large population of birds.

Following lunch, head to the nearby Karen Blixen Museum. Once owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband, Baron Bror, and based at the foot of the Ngong Hills, the farm house gained international fame with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’ an Oscar winning film based on Karen’s an autobiography by the same title.

Your final stop will be at the Giraffe Centre, where the endangered Rothschild giraffe lives in peace. With an elevated viewing/feeding platform, you can get up close and personal with these gentle giants. Arrive back at your hotel in the late afternoon.

Hotel to Wilson Airport (Shared)
At the appropriate time today you will be met at your hotel and transferred to Wilson Airport.

Light aircraft flight from Nairobi to Samburu
At the scheduled time you will take the light aircraft flight from Nairobi Wilson Airport to your closest airstrip in Samburu.

Please note: Your luggage is restricted to 15 kg per person (including hand luggage) and only soft-sided bags will be accepted. No hard suitcases can be transported as they physically cannot fit the aircraft's luggage compartment.

4 Day Samburu Safari
The Samburu National Reserve sits around 350kms from Nairobi on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro river, a life-source for the wildlife of this region. Along with the big cats, you can expect to see some more rare species while in the Samburu including the Grevy's zebra, the Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, the long-necked gerenuk, Guenther's dik-dik and the beisa oryx, just to name a few.

Samburu Arrival Day
Upon arrival at the local airstrip you will be greeted by the staff from your camp who will assist you with your luggage and will then transfer you to your accommodation where you will have time to settle in and if time permits, head out on your first game activity in the Samburu.

Samburu Safari
Samuru is considered to be one of Kenya's lesser-known national parks however this does not mean that it has less to offer in terms of safari experience.

Enjoy two full days on safari in the Samburu National Park, enjoying twice daily game viewing activities led by expert local guides.

Dry, rugged and stunning, Samburu’s landscape is at once stark and sensual, with its iconic loaf shaped Lolokowe Mountain and hills spreading in every horizon. Its life lung is the Usao Nyiro River coursing through its craggy terrain full of stone, thorn bush and the forked doum palms. In this arid zone where water is scarce and the land baked by the eternal sun, herds of elephants and the big cats roam the plains along with the special "Samburu Five" - the Reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and a long necked antelope called the Gerenuk.

Your days of exploring will end with you sipping on sundowners, taking in the vast African sky before enjoying dinner back at the camp.

Samburu Departure Day
Following your final breakfast at the camp you will be transferred back to the airstrip for your onward flight.

At the scheduled time you will take the light aircraft flight from Samburu to your closest airstrip in the Masai Mara.

4 Day Masai Mara Safari
The Masai Mara ecosystem holds one of the highest lion densities in the world and this is where over two million wildebeest, zebra and Thompson gazelle migrate annually. It hosts over 95 species of mammals and 570 recorded species of birds. The wildlife of the Masai Mara is world-renowned, with the so-called “Big Five”- buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhinoceros – evident throughout the year. The “Big Nine” - including cheetah, zebra, giraffe and hippo - extends this experience.

Arrival in the Masai Mara
On arrival to an airstrip in Masai Mara you will be met by lodge representative and game driven to camp to get settled into your room and enjoy lunch. This afternoon you will head out on your first game drive in the Masai Mara before returning to camp for a delicious dinner.

Masai Mara Game Viewing Activities
Over next couple of days you will get to explore the incredible Masai Mara Game reserve. Game drives offer the unforgettable opportunity to enjoy the diversity of animals and birds living permanently in the Masai Mara, as well as many migratory species.

Each morning you will rise early to go out on a thrilling morning game drive in search of some of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife, returning to the camp in time for a late breakfast. Afterwards you have time to relax in the camp's lounge or bar, or in the comfort of your safari tent. After lunch at the lodge you will head back out on an afternoon game drive, returning to the lodge in time for a sundowner drink and delicious dinner by candlelight.

Optional activities at additional cost include hot air balloon safaris and Masai village visits.

Masai Mara Departure
After a final morning game drive (time permitting)and breakfast at the camp, you will check out and be transferred back to the closest airstrip for your scheduled flight.

At the scheduled time you will take the light aircraft flight from your local airstrip in the Masai Mara to Diani Ukunda airstrip on the south coast.
